Job Description:

• Assist with the development and implementation of IT security and other infrastructure solutions including firewalls, anti-virus solutions, LDAP and identity management, intrusion prevention and virtual server environments.
• Develop technical and programmatic assessments, evaluate engineering and integration initiatives and provide technical support to assess security policies, standards and guidelines.
• Develop, implement, and communicate security policies and/or plans for data, software applications, hardware and telecommunications.
• Provide technical direction, project leadership, documentation, and senior level engineering as it relates to the IT security and infrastructure.
• Perform product evaluations, recommend products/services for security initiatives.
• Validate and test complex security architecture and design solutions to produce detailed engineering specifications with recommended vendor technologies.
• Interface with different areas of the organization during project requirements gathering, design, implementation and documentation.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, analyze and resolve problems related to the IT security infrastructure as well as application and system problems that have been escalated for senior level support.
• Work on various projects related to evaluating, testing, and deployment of new software systems/technology.
• Analyze technical diagrams and data flows and host systems for compliance with policies and best practice.
• Develop technical security standards.

Essential Skills Required:

• Proficiency in host based security on Unix.
• Knowledge in the areas of networking, firewalls, OS hardening, and web-based applications.
• Understanding of compliance and industry security standards.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
