Job Duties:
- Provide PHP/JAVA/Ruby or Python programming and functionality for a wide variety of web sites, intranets, extranets and web-based applications.
- Responsible for staying current with new and evolving technologies.
Requirements:
- 4+ years in development of scalable, highly-trafficed, 24X7 internet applications including metrics collection and reporting systems.
- Expert-level knowledge of PHP, Java, Ruby or Python.
- Knowledge of MySQL or similar RDBMS.
- Deep understanding of OO technology and implementation techniques.
- Experience in open source components and frameworks.
- Familiar with data warehousing concepts, decision support software.
- Familiar with streaming technologies like Macromedia FCS, FMS, Windows Media or Quick Time.
- Experience RHES v4/5 and CentOS v 4/5.
- Knowledge of Windows & Linux.
- Some knowledge of MS SQL Server.
Some knowledge or familiarity with the following programming concepts is required:
- OOP Programming
- Regular Expressions
- Advanced knowledge of Sessions
- Memory management
- Optimized data design and SQL
Some knowledge of the following is helpful but not required:
- HTML
- DHTML
- CSS
- C / C#
- Photoshop
